Türk Oyun Geliştiriciler "Aldatma" Temasıyla Dünya Dördüncüsü

Oyun Geliştirme Türk Milli Takımı “aldatma” teması üzerine 48 saatlik uykusuz maratonun sonunda 19 oyun geliştirerek dünyada 138 merkez arasında 4. oldu.

Oyun geliştirme ve animasyon teknolojileri alanındaki girişimci faaliyetlerin teşvik edilmesi ve mevcut fikirlerin ticarileşmesini hedefleyen “ODTÜ Teknokent Animasyon Teknolojileri ve Oyun Geliştirme Merkezi” (METUTECH-ATOM), dünya genelindeki 39 ülkenin 138 farklı merkezinde 4000’in üzerinde geliştiricinin katılımıyla aynı anda gerçekleştirilen “Global Game Jam 2010” (Yenilikçi Oyun Geliştirme Dünya Maratonu) etkinliğine ODTÜ Teknokent ve ODTÜ Enformatik Enstitüsü’nün organizasyonuyla ev sahipliği yaptı.

29-31 Ocak tarihleri arasında ODTÜ’nün evsahipliğinde, Turkcell’in desteği ve sponsorların katkılarıyla gerçekleştirilen etkinlikte, 48 saat gibi kısa bir zaman dilimi içinde dünya genelindeki 4000’den fazla geliştirici 900’ün üzerinde oyun geliştirdi. Geçen sene ilk defa katılmasına rağmen 53 merkez içinde 3. olan METUTECH-ATOM ise, bu sene 62 oyun geliştiriciyle 19 oyun geliştirerek, dünya genelinde 48 saat içinde en fazla oyun geliştirilen 4. merkez oldu. Tamamı ücretsiz 900’den fazla oyunu Global Game Jam sitesinden indirebilirsiniz: TIKLAYIN.

Etkinliğin ilk günü, açılış konuşmaları ve dünyanın önde gelen oyun stüdyolarından Crytek’in CEO’su Cevat Yerli’nin Türk oyun geliştiricilerine seslenişinin ardından, Turkcell ile iş ortaklarının oyun geliştiricilerine verdiği destek ve sunduğu fırsatlar üzerine sunumlar yapıldı.

Bu yılın teması “Aldatma”

Etkinliğin en heyecanlı bölümlerinden biri olan temanın “Deception (Aldatma)” olarak açıklanmasıyla, 48 saatlik uykusuz maraton Türkiye için, aynı diğer merkezler gibi başlamış oldu.

Dünyada ikinci defa global olarak düzenlenen bu etkinlikte 48 saat sonunda ortaya çıkan 19 oyunu oynayıp, sunumlarını izleyen juri, genel ve mobil kategoride Türkiye finalisti olan oyunları belirledi. Mobil Kategoride “Xanka” grubu “Abidino” adlı oyunla, Genel Kategoride ise “Tırt” grubu “Swaps N’ Traps” adlı oyunla aldığı birincilikle Intel “New Core i5” işlemcilerine sahip olurken, ikinci ve üçüncülüğü “Wireland” ve “Abidino” oyunları aldı.

Turkcell: “Oyuna” katkımız sürecek

Dünya genelindeki 138 farklı merkez arasında 4. olan Türk oyun geliştiriciler ile genel ve mobil oyun kategorilerinde dereceye giren ekipleri tebrik eden Turkcell İçerik ve Operatör Servisleri Bölüm Başkanı Sertan Eratay, Turkcell'in bundan sonra da “oyuna” katkısının süreceğini vurguladı. Eratay şunları kaydetti:

"Teknolojiye en çok yatırım yapan Türk şirketi olarak yenilikçi ve yaratıcı beyinlerin bir araya geldiği, yeni fikirlerin yeşerdiği Global Game Jam gibi etkinlikleri çok önemsiyoruz. Turkcell Partner Program üzerinden girişimcilere verdiğimiz destekle yaratıcı fikirlerin pazarlanabilir ürün ve servislere dönüştürülmesine öncülük ediyoruz. Biz bu “oyunu” girişimciler, öğrenciler ve iş ortaklarımızla birlikte oynamak istiyoruz. Turkcell Partner'in kapısı tüm yaratıcı fikirlere ve girişimcilere açık olacak."
